Home again, home again jigity jig

Jeff came home yesterday. It was fun. OOO. He wanted out so I was taking him to shower Tuesday and I asked for a wheelchair and this case manager poked her head in and said he had to walk to the shower. If he wanted to go home he had to be at "baseline". Not that he and I had participated in establishing baseline, but hell what do we know. And I said he wasn't walking to the shower upstairs. She said if he couldn't walk to the shower he wouldn't be able to be discharged home. I said we would have to wait for Todd because I didn't want to risk him falling and me not able to catch him.

She said the aid could take him to shower (ok so the aid is going home with us, but not a wheelchair?) So Jeff and I walked to the shower and I unpacked his wound. They wouldn't let me re-dress it in the hall so after I showered him he walked back. Too bad he didn't have another fluid explosion all over their floor.

Alas we got back to the room I asked for non-latex gloves to pack his wound and someone said the nurse would do that. I said the lady whose name I can't use said we had to be independent with this or he couldn't go home.

So they told him at 5am he could go and packed him up and called me come get him. I got there and forgot his clothes had to go all the way back. Idiot me.

So he came home, the nurse came today and got to watch another fluid explosion about 2.5 pounds of liquid came out.

So we are having lots and lots of fun.

But jeff is home and that's good.
